Texts From Bro, operated by Sourcedragon LLC, provides personal reminder and habit text messages that users set for themselves.

Information we collect

Your mobile phone number, the reminders and schedule you create, and the messages you exchange with Bro, the first name you give Bro, and your time zone (which we estimate from your area code and update when you tell Bro you're traveling). If you subscribe, we also receive your email address and the last four digits and brand of your payment card from our payment processor.

If you join the waitlist at textsfrombro.com or from the app's login page, we collect your email address, the country of the phone number you entered (login page only), and, when present, the website that referred you and the campaign tags in the link you followed.

We never see or store your full card number. Payment details are entered directly with our payment processor and handled by them.

When you visit textsfrombro.com, our site host counts page views without cookies, and the Meta Pixel collects the information described under "Advertising on our website".

How we use it

To send you the reminder text messages you asked for, to reply when you text us, and to manage your account and billing. No mobile information or messaging consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or rent your mobile phone number or opt-in data to anyone.

We use a waitlist email address only to confirm your signup, and to tell you when Bro launches or reaches your country. No newsletter. Every waitlist email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop emailing you once you use it.

Do Not Track: our site doesn't change how it works when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We don't track you across other websites ourselves. The only other company that collects information about your activity through our site is Meta, through the Meta Pixel described under "Advertising on our website".

Advertising on our website

Our home page, about page and waitlist page use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to measure and improve our ads on Meta and to show our ads to people who visited our site. The pixel sends Meta the pages you view there, which of the two first buttons you tap in the chat on our home page, whether you tap a button that opens your Messages app, and standard device and browser information such as your IP address and browser type. It sets a Meta cookie on our site (named _fbp) and can read cookies Meta has already set in your browser. Meta may connect this with your Meta account and uses it under its own privacy policy. The pixel never runs in the Bro app or on login, checkout, Terms or Privacy pages, and it never receives your phone number, your messages, your reminders, or the email address you type into our waitlist form.

To limit this, change your ad settings in your Meta account (Accounts Center, Ad preferences), or block or clear cookies for textsfrombro.com and facebook.com in your browser.

Service providers

We use a small number of companies to run the service: providers that deliver text messages, an AI provider that writes Bro's replies (the text of your messages and reminders is sent to it to produce a response), a payment processor, an email provider, and hosting providers for our database, app and website. They process your information only to provide their service to us, and not for their own marketing. Email us if you'd like a current list.

Other sharing

We may also share information if the law requires it (for example, a valid subpoena or court order), to protect the safety of you or others, or to protect our rights. If Sourcedragon LLC or Texts From Bro is ever sold, merged or reorganized, your information may transfer to the new owner, and this policy will continue to apply to it until you are told of a change.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and reminders for as long as you use the service. If you text Bro but never subscribe, we delete your information after 30 days of inactivity. If you cancel a paid subscription, we keep your account so you can return; email us if you would like it deleted.

We keep a waitlist email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe, we keep the address only so we never email it again.

When an account is deleted, whether you delete it in the app or we delete it for inactivity, we keep one thing: a one-way, keyed fingerprint of the phone number and the dates it used its free reminder and its free trial, so the same number can't start them over. The fingerprint is not your number and can't be turned back into it, but we can recognize it if the same number signs up again.

Deleted information can stay in our backups for up to 30 days, until those backups are erased.

Your choices

Reply STOP to stop all messages. Email hello@textsfrombro.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.

Children

Texts From Bro is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has signed up, email hello@textsfrombro.com and we will delete the account.

Opt-out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help. Stopping messages does not cancel a paid subscription — cancel in the app under Manage plan.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the most recent change.
